 You've heard of Suzuki Violin and Suzuki Piano did you know that Dr. Suzuki's world renowed method of teaching music is also availble to students in voice? Welcome to Colorado's first Suzuki Voice Studio, Suzuki Singers of Denver taught by Jenny Allen in Arvada, Colorado. 

Started by Deborah Smith in Salt Lake City, Utah, Suzuki Singing has grown over the past 30-years and is taught by teachers internationally. As we are building up our studio here in Colorado please visit Debby's SingingArts.com website for loads of info on Suzuki Singing and a sneak peek at the curriculum. 

I have organized a few resources here and will post updates on current season schedules. I teach in 10 to 12 week increments fall, winter and sometimes spring and summer.

ATTENTION! Each student who comes to their next lesson with a report that they and their parent read this gets...wait for it...a PENNY! ( It'll be worth it!) Parent Expectations Ask questions, "What was the "one thing" you learned today?" Support or provide (depending on age of child) passive listening for 20 min a day Applaud and compliment efforts being made by child Encourage daily practice Please note, the way that Dr. Suzuki has designed his music teaching curriculum is akin to the way a child learns a language--immersion first then mechanics.   Think of it this way, first we build the car then we drive it. Holiday Break until 1/10/23 and Studio Update

  Dear Voice Student,  That's a wrap! You did it!! 10 lessons, 2 master classes, and 1 performance. You have been amazing! Thank you for your time and talents. It was such a delight and a  joy to work with you. Thank you for your willingness to share your voice and your heart with all of us.  There will be no more regularly scheduled lesson until Jan 10th. NEW Studio Accompanist Fall 2022

  LORI HERMANSON BM in Piano Performance from the University of Denver’s Lamont School of Music. I have been a working professional pianist in the Rocky Mountain region for more than 35 years. I worked as a rehearsal pianist/coach-accompanist and musical assistant for Opera Colorado for 25 years, where I honed my skills in collaborative piano, conducting and rehearsal techniques. I have also performed with Central City Opera and in numerous schools, theatre productions and musicals. I collaborate with both singers and instrumentalists for recitals, recording sessions, auditions and competitions. I also work with local choral groups and instrumental ensembles on a regular basis. My work as a vocal coach includes style and lyric diction work in English, French, Italian and German.
